Will American politics always be dominated by the two major political parties or are voters longing for an independent candidate to challenge the establishment?

Everyone thought that the slate of candidates for the presidential election had been set until Benjamin Franklin Foster came on the scene capturing the hearts of American voters with his message of change and reform. Powerful interests intent on preserving the status quo with their bought-and-paid-for politicians were determined to take Ben Foster out of the race. The Secret Service comes up with a quirky plan to protect the candidate and strike a blow for Lady Justice.

Will there be a new resident in the White House or will it be politics as usual? Join Walt on the campaign trail for an adventure full of mystery, intrigue, and laughs!

What made the experience of listening to Lady Justice and the Candidate the most enjoyable?
The characters, the writing, the humor, Mr. Thornhill's "tilting at giants" that really aren't windmills. lol

There aren't many moments where the usual supporting family and friends are present. Walt is "dead", undercover, playing body double! His usual entourage is left in the dark.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lady Justice and the Candidate?
I liked the "campaigning" ideas that are suggested. I was introduced to the phrase "worthless as [mammary glands] on a fish" and I still have milk coming out my nose with that one! Warning!!! roflmao

Have you listened to any of George Kuch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have and he is perfect for this series. I enjoy the "easter egg" premise where Mr. Kuch has to sing. This go around: the spoken lyrics to Jimmy Dean's " Big Bad John"!!!

Who was the most memorable character of Lady Justice and the Candidate and why?
Walt, Ben Foster and though only in a supporting role "Sully". Walt because he has become family through the series. Foster represents what the recent candidates (either) failed to live up to. And Sully for his bravery and loyalty.

Any additional comments?
I have so much enjoyed the entire Lady Justice series. I'm in my mid 60's and strongly identify and admire Walt. The writing is exceptional, not high brow literature certainly, but intelligent, relevant, and funny!

I always ask myself after listening to an audio book, "Was it entertaining"? This most certainly was! I can't think of a better compliment than that.

FOR THOSE THAT THIS IS IMPORTANT: THERE ARE RARE PROFANITIES. They didn't distract from the story for me or was I bothered by it. Just a HEADS UP!

A review copy was gifted to me at no charge. In return, I am happy to provide an honest review. Also at no charge.

Lady Justice and the Candidate Lady Justice Book 9 (Audible Audio Edition) Robert Thornhill George Kuch Books Reviews

(Originally posted on Audible.com) The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. I loved this book and truly wish we'd had a Ben Foster to vote for! As usual with all of the Lady Justice books, there were plenty of twists and turns, funny one liners, I wish he hadn't left us hanging though about who won the election. George Kuch did an amazing job as usual with the narration! His narration is so smooth and natural that it makes it easy to picture the events Robert Thornhill wrote about just as clearly as if you were there seeing it for yourself.
Robert Thornhill is the author you cannot ignore, if nothing else than from the reason that he started writing at the age of sixty-six and that he has never learned to type other than with one finger and a thumb! When we add to that the number of 28 (!!) books he has written and published at his late but very prolific age, we are getting a small literary miracle!

Lady Justice and the Candidate is the first of Thornhill's books I had the pleasure of reading. It is a well-balanced mixture of humor, adventure and mystery, which tells us a story about the independent Presidential candidate Benjamin Franklin Foster who appears on the American political scene practicality out of nowhere and wins over the sympathies and hearts of American voters with his simple message of change and honesty with which he is supposed to clean America and restore it to its days of glory.

Mission impossible or not? Not so important, as long as you enjoy reading this book. And if you don't believe me that Lady Justice and the Candidate guarantees you a relaxed and fun time – even when you have to hear about politics over and over again – see for yourself. Then be honest and admit to yourself that indeed you had had a laugh, while secretly cheering for that unusual and extraordinary candidate who at the age of 70 had more vigor and passion than some much younger politicians we all too well knew about.
